I had ordered a box of Lindt chocolates and cake for my parents anniversary ..the cake arrived on time and was good ..the chocolates were arrived in a terrible condition and appeared to be old with worn out wrappers ..one chocolate slab was just a blob not even a slab ...on contacting gifts to india they were apologetic and explained that this maybe due to the heat during summers in India.they willingly agreed to compensate me with a refund and also sent something appropriate to the recipient. Karan a customer service executive that I coordinated with was extremely helpful and kept in touch to ensure that I was satisfied with the compensatory action taken.
