About Naharlagun
Naharlagun is a town situated in the foothills of the Himalayas in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. As of the 2011 India census, Naharlagun had a population of 36,158. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Naharlagun has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 62%. In Naharlagun, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. Naharlagun railway station is the first major railhead in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
