About Markapur
Markapuram is a town in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality and the headquarters of Markapur mandal in Markapur revenue division. Markapur is having one of the oldest chenna kesava swamy temple built by king srikrishnadevaraya. A carnival happens every year during ratha yatra.
