Fatehabad District is one of the twenty-two districts of the state of Haryana India. The Fatehabad district was carved out of Hisar district on 15 July 1997. Located in the south-western part of Haryana. It is surrounded by Punjab in north, district Hisar in south, district Jind in the east and Rajasthan and district Sirsa in the west. Fatehabad is 208 kms. west of Delhi. The town is accessible by Delhi-Sirsa National Highway NH-10 via Rohtak, Hansi and Hisar. Fatehabad district is well-connected with Punjab, Delhi and district Sirsa by broad gauge railway line. In 2011, Fatehabad had population of 942,011 of which male and female were 495,360 and 446,651 respectively. It is one of district of Haryana in India. There are 3 Tehsils, 245 villages and 4 towns in Fatehabad district. The total area of Fatehabad is 2538 sq.km with population density of 371 per sq.km.
