About Auraiya
Auraiya is a city and a municipal board in Auraiya district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. NH 19 passes through the center of the town. Phaphund railway station is the nearest Railway Station. Saifai Airstrip is the nearest aviation facility, having limited private use. On 17 September 1997, two tehsils named Auraiya and Bidhuna were separated from district Etawah to form the new district named as Auraiya. Ajitmal is the new tehsil of Auraiya district. It is situated on National Highway 02 (Mughal Road), 64 km to the east of Etawah city and 105 km to the west of Kanpur city.
